This blog is my project. To keep myself from going crazy. To keep people I'm friends with on Facebook from going crazy with nail polish. To peak people's interests in several aspects of my life that may or may not apply to them. To have a creative outlet. And, most importantly, to keep a record of things that have happened so my annual reviews aren't so lame!
Thank you to those of you who have expressed an interest in the starting of this blog. I hope I can keep you entertained. Let's get started.
Today, I wore orange nail polish for the first time in my life (I don't count China Glaze's Life Preserver, its more of an orange-coral). And it wasn't any ordinary orange polish...its scented! Yes, Crayola has come out with 5 mini polishes that are all scented, and adorable.
Unfortunately, you have to put up with my camera's lack of finesse to take incredible macro shots so you can see glitter, flakies, duochrome, etc. Oh, and the fact that I suck at taking pictures.
Orange is just that. Its bright and smells amazing! You can actually smell it before it even dries, which is pretty cool. Although, a few hours later, the smell seems to be fading. It could be that I'm just used to it, or there are overpowering scents in my apartment. This color has some great yellow glitter in it, that gives the orange color a beautiful glow.
For $4.99 and for a product aimed at kids 8+, I'll take the formula. I did three coats. It was a little bit streaky for me, but it evened out just fine. I could have done two coats, except for the streaks. This one definitely isn't as watery as some of the other colors. If you want to check these out for yourself, I found them at Rite-Aid, with the fake nails and all of that (although I have read from others that they have been found in the Crayola section). Stay tuned for the rest of the colors. And follow me, if you would like.
